Waste Water Treatment
Waste water treatment is a principle area of application for PULSAR and PULSA Series hydraulically actuated diaphragm metering pumps. Not only is pollution control of waters being returned to the environment a necessity, but availability and cost of fresh water has made recycling of industrial process water necessary.
Our Cruise Control Variable Speed Control Panel is the perfect compliment to our line of highly accurate diaphragm metering pumps. The Cruise Control offers total system control integration with the highest level of service and support that any pump manufacturer offers.
Waste Water Treatment Applications Include:
- Anionic and cationic polymer injection for phosphate removal, coagulation and filtration
- Caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) metering for metal removal, pH control, and cyanide removal
- Ferric chloride and alum injection for coagulation
- Copper sulfate injection for algae control
- Metering of lime slurries for pH control (corrosion control) and coagulation
- Sodium hypochlorite injection for caustic and cyanide removal and disinfection
- Sodium bisulfite for lime control by hexavalent chromium
- Metering activated carbon or diatomaceous earth slurries for odor and color control
For on-site boilers, boiler feed water is treated to eliminate erosion, corrosion, and scale buildup. Applications would include the injection of phosphates for control of phosphate level in boiler feed water, and injeciton of hydrazine, morphaline, and ammonia for corrosion control.
